Problem 3: Classics – Former State Problem Captain

Lindsey started her Odyssey in 1997 as a young team member in our West Central region. Lindsey and her teammates went on to become World Finalists three times – and now Lindsey brings that enthusiasm into her judging at regional, state, and World Finals tournaments.

“I love to judge!” she says. “I have just as much fun judging as I did competing! It’s great to connect with Odyssey family from all over the U.S. and the world!”

In her past position as Classics state problem captain, Lindsey trained judges, recruited volunteers, and made sure everyone has a fun and positive experience on tournament day. She also has worked with both the West Central PA regional board and the state board to speak with educators and educational organizations about how to get more students involved in Odyssey of the Mind.

“Odyssey of the Mind has opened doors and provided many opportunities for me,” Lindsey says. “Odyssey of the Mind has given me hope that creativity lives on and is the solution to many problems.”

When she’s not officiating Odyssey of the Mind tournaments, Lindsey uses her problem-solving skills in her work as an Administrative Assistant for HigherEdJobs. She enjoys traveling, and – naturally, a true OMER – Lindsey likes to paint and work on art projects. Living in Altoona, she’s a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Penn State, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management.

Thank you for everything you do for Pennsylvania Odyssey of the Mind, Lindsey!
