Questions about State Finals judging roles should be directed to your problem captain.
Judging Overview
Thank you for your interest in judging and volunteering! Through the generosity of your time, talent, skills, knowledge, and interests, together we can provide an amazing experience for our students. Just like an Odyssey of the Mind team, we want our judges and volunteers to capitalize on their strengths when donating their time and energy.
We hope you’ll find judging to be a very satisfying and uplifting experience. You’ll be amazed at the creativity and uniqueness of the teams’ performances.
As a judge, you are required to attend a Regional Judges Training. Check your region’s website for info on their judges’ training and requirements. You will be judging in a different division than the team you are representing, and you may not be able to see your team’s performance.
Should your team advance to the State Finals tournament, you will be required to advance with the team. We thank you for your time and efforts. It is only through the dedication and support of volunteers like you that we are able to provide such a high quality program for our students!
Act 48 Hours
Educators who are PA Odyssey of the Mind coaches and judges are eligible for Act 48 credit hours from the PA Department of Education.

There is no additional credit for State Finals. Act 48 is managed by each region. Be in touch with your regional director to understand the process.
